As an Asset Specialist, you’ll be working at the very heart of our electricity grid. You will develop policies, define technical requirements, and ensure the quality of our high-voltage lines. Your work is essential to enabling safe, efficient, and sustainable connections.

Your tasks include:

• Technical standards and policies: Developing and managing technical specifications for overhead lines and their components.

• Procurement and contracting support: Providing clear technical requirements, assessing suppliers, and performing audits.

• Quality assurance and supplier management: Ensuring quality via type and FAT tests, and working with suppliers on continuous improvement.

• Technical support for projects: Reviewing design studies and advising project teams on technical matters.

• Innovation and standardization: Representing TenneT in (inter)national committees and collaborating with knowledge institutions on the latest developments. 

Who will you work with?

You’ll be part of a small, expert team within Asset Management, consisting of four direct colleagues. Together, you’ll develop innovative solutions to help TenneT achieve the energy transition.

As Asset Specialist Overhead Lines, you are an expert in high-voltage systems. You combine in-depth technical knowledge with strong analytical skills and a hands-on mentality. You’re a strong communicator and can easily collaborate with internal and external stakeholders—even in complex situations.

What you bring:

• A completed technical degree at HBO/BSc level or higher, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electromechanics, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a focus on mechanics and materials.

• At least 5 years of experience in high-voltage technology (≥ 110kV).

• Solid knowledge of standards, regulations, and principles within the high-voltage sector.

• A sharp eye for bottlenecks and the ability to come up with practical and innovative solutions.

• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.

• A proactive attitude towards safety—you actively contribute to a safe working environment for yourself, your colleagues, and suppliers.

You will work closely with engineers, maintenance specialists, project teams, knowledge institutes, and suppliers. Your goal: to realize optimal, future-proof solutions for our overhead connections.

We offer:

• A permanent contract with a two-month probationary period based on a 40-hour work week;

• A salary in grade 9, ranging from €4,675 to €9,196 per month, plus 8% holiday allowance and a 6% year-end bonus;

• A solid pension scheme via ABP, with TenneT covering 70% of the premium;

• 43 vacation days per year.

All employment conditions mentioned apply to a full-time contract unless stated otherwise.
