How do you keep the Netherlands running? As a Contract Manager, you are responsible for managing contracts during the execution phase up to commissioning. Additionally, you are responsible for:
- Proactively managing contractual obligations, risks, and objectives of the contracts in the procurement, execution, and commissioning phases of the project;
- Managing the progress of the contracts and overseeing established milestones, finances, actions, and outstanding contract issues, including claims;
- Responsible for the process of contract amendments, determining, drafting, and handling variation orders and claims, and negotiating these with the contractor when necessary;
- Determining the contract strategy for future projects;
- Raising the level of contract knowledge within the project teams;
- Working closely with the project team, your fellow contract managers, and other departments such as Supply Chain Management/Procurement, Asset Management, and Legal.
You will be part of the Contract and Claim Management Offshore Netherlands team, consisting of 13 colleagues. Together, you work on the realization of TenneT's offshore projects, an essential task for a stable and sustainable energy supply. Our team fosters an innovative and collaborative work environment, where cooperation and knowledge sharing are central.
Your profile and background
At TenneT, we seek professionals who contribute to the future of our electricity grid. We expect you to bring the right experience and skills to make a valuable impact on our team and mission. What do you bring?
- A Bachelor or Master level education, preferably in a legal, technical, or commercial field;
- At least 5 years of experience as a contract manager or similar experience with contract and claim management;
- Good knowledge of FIDIC (Silver/Yellow) or UAV/UAV-GC contracts;
- Experience with complex projects, preferably offshore, from the procurement phase up to and including the commissioning phase;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.

- A permanent contract with a two-month probation period, based on 32-40 hours per week.
- A salary in scale 9: €4675 to € 9196 per month with 8% holiday allowance and 6% year-end bonus
