How will you keep the Netherlands running? As Platform Engineer Datacenter Networking, you are responsible for implementing initiatives to improve the availability and performance of the IT infrastructure, ensuring that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable and sustainable energy. You will be working in the Datacenter Networking team, consisting of 12 colleagues. In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Performing administrative and operational tasks on the (network) infrastructure.
- Monitoring and safeguarding the availability and performance of the (network) infrastructure.
- Investigating and resolving (complex) 2nd- and 3rd-line incidents in the (network) infrastructure.
- Writing change proposals and problem reports in response to incidents and planned changes.
Your profile and background
At TenneT, we look for professionals who contribute to an effective and future‑proof project organisation. We expect you to have the right experience and skills to make a valuable contribution to our team and our mission. Therefore, we ask for:
- A completed HBO+ degree in Computer Science.
- Proven experience in at least 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience within complex IT infrastructure environments.
- You have extensive knowledge of the products listed below and the associated management tooling certification in one or more of these products is a plus.
- Cisco Nexus and Arista switches (with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS).
- Check Point, Palo Alto.
- A10 load balancer.
- Aruba ClearPass & Wireless.
- Experience with Ansible is a plus..

This is a complex environment in which 24-hour availability is essential. The candidate must therefore be willing to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation when requested.

- Type of contract is indefinite.
- A salary in scale 7: €4,211 to €7,447 per month (based on a 40-hour work week).
